Good Evening Sannie
What a weekend it must have been.
If you're not drained emotionally there will be no situation tough enough to get you down. As I am sitting here I know that your sober and doing reasonable well - and that is "progress"...you ended your last paragraph...and I will settle for that...So you did. Congratulations.
You practised one of the most important principals of our program...honesty. You also mention the feeling of freedom after that moment. That freedom you felt when you started this journey again 7 days ago, priceless. The other two very important principals being "willingness" and "open mindedness"...which are all ready interwoven in your actions this past few days.
I like to share from our Daily Reflections : Page 133
We must be entirely honest with somebody if we expect to live long or happily in this world. Big Book p73/74
"This sharing helps me to learn honesty in all my dealings and to know that God's plan for me comes true through honest openness and willingness."
You mentioned that you are going to pray for the well being of your family and more, so will I. I have no doubt that your prayers will be answered. I am also glad that you are going to try again after a talk with your husband...that is 1st prize.
Your on the step of day 8...ain't that great. See you @ the meeting.
Life is good!!
