Yesterday I decided not to go to work. I sent my boss a message stating I'm taking a me day. And then I hit the garden. Most girls would hit the spa, but I mowed the lawn, trimmed the hedges and my word did I weed!
Some weeds where easy to remove, but others where tough and left the poor plant I had to pry it from a little worse for wear. I though about life in general and realised that it's the same with the weeds in our lives. Some little nasty habits are easy to kick, but others need some elbow grease.
After my day of gardening, I sat back, closed my eyes and prayed, for peace, for forgiveness, for the stone in my stomach to drop out, for my shoulders not to sag, my irritability to disappear and some happiness. When I opened my eyes there was a rainbow and a ray of sunshine causing my whole garden to glisten.
Happiness is....a weedless soul.
